I remember having a booth with Kripalu at the 1st yoga journal conference in Estes Park, Colorado. I had the first yoga clothing line there and it was something. It was modest and well made in cotton lycra with men's and women's pieces. I distinctly remember Patricia Walden taking my hands and looking me in the eyes and thanking me for making this line. We were both teary and I felt on purpose since I built the line to blend my design career with the profound honor I felt for yoga and meditation. I sold $14,000 that weekend and my new company was off to a beautiful start. Thank you Terri Shatz, former Kripalu Buyer, who believed in me when I showed you pencil drawn sketches of the line and you bought upfront. Love you and your vision.
The relationship with the Kripalu Shop as our top retail account has continued for 30 years. It has been amazing in that we have great trust and respect. I develop new custom designs for their brand and customer experiences so people can take home an inspiring reminder of their beautiful experience at Kripalu. We also offer core basic yoga and lounge apparel.
